US Literature
One Trimester

Prerequisite: English 10A and 10B or equivalent

This English elective is a literature-based course that studies the thematic works of selected U.S. literature. Students will be expected to read 3-4 novels. Students will also study theme, plot development, author point of view, and problem solving through literature. Students will write narrative and analytical essays as they demonstrate command of the English language in writing, reading and speaking.

Class Information and Reading Schedules
We will be watching movie clips from The Crucible, Dances with Wolves, and The Great Gatsby. We will also be watching the edited movie Last of the Dogmen. If there are any questions or concerns, please feel free to call or come in and talk to me.
